Job Description

One of the reputed Universities in Kuwait invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Full Professor in Finance: Risk Management and FinTech.

Candidates should have a proven track record for excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level and have an established research record, demonstrated by publishing high-impact papers and other applicable research outcomes.

The selected faculty members are expected to teach deep subject knowledge including teaching key concepts, current and relevant research, methodologies, tools and techniques, along with meaningful applications. Additionally, faculty members are expected to work closely and maintain continuous affiliation with relevant research centers at the University.

 

Specifically, faculty members at the college will be responsible for:

 

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Engaging in interdisciplinary basic, applied, or policy research.
  • Contributing to a thriving research program by engaging in national and international scientific collaborations.
  • Receiving grants from local and international funding agencies.
  • Mentoring and advising undergraduate and graduate students.

 

Job Profile

Required Qualifications:

 

Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Engineering, or Quantitative Finance with a concentration in risk management, financial technology, with a GPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent.

 

Required Experience:

 

a) Full Professor

 

  • A Full Professor must have experience as a faculty member of not less than 8 academic years in an accredited university, listed in the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance (NBAQ), after being recruited on the rank of Assistant Professor.
  • A Full Professor must have been scientifically recruited/promoted to the rank of Associate Professor and Professor at one of the institutions listed in the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance (NBAQ).

 

b) Associate Professor

 

  • An Associate Professor must have experience as a faculty member of not less than 4 academic years in an accredited university, listed in the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance (NBAQ), after being recruited on the rank of Assistant Professor.
  • An Associate Professor must have been scientifically recruited/promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at one of the institutions listed in the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance (NBAQ).

 

c) Assistant Professor

 

  • An Assistant Professor must have experience as a faculty member of not less than 2 academic years in an accredited university, listed in the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance (NABAQ) after being recruited on the rank of Assistant Professor.
