One of the reputed University in the UAE invites applicants for the position of Assistant / Associate Professor in Sociology.

Responsibilities:

- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Sociology, including core subjects such as social theory, cultural studies, social change, and contemporary social issues.

- Conduct independent and collaborative research, with the goal of publishing in recognized, peer-reviewed journals.

- Supervise undergraduate projects, master’s theses, and PhD dissertations, while supporting students’ research, academic progress, and career development.

- Contribute to the improvement and updating of the Sociology curriculum to reflect current global and regional issues.

- Participate in community service by organizing events, providing research expertise, and supporting public policy development.

Qualifications and Experience:

- PhD in Sociology or a closely related field from a reputed university.

- Minimum of three years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels in Sociology or a related field.

- Proven ability to incorporate digital technology and AI into teaching and curriculum design.

- Demonstrated experience supervising student research and graduation projects.
