One of the renowned Universities in Oman invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering.

Job Description:

An Assistant Professor is expected to demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence in the planning and delivery of teaching and learning and assessment in the area of specialisation as well as developing and promoting research and other forms of knowledge transfer at national/regional levels and potential to reach international level achievement in due course.

An Associate Professor is expected to demonstrate a significant commitment to academic excellence in teaching and learning, research, and any other forms of knowledge transfer, at the highest levels of national and regional excellence, with some international achievement or the potential thereof.

The key role and responsibilities of an Assistant/Associate Professor should include, but are not exclusive to the following areas:

1. Teaching and Learning Support

2. Research and Scholarship

3. Administration and Faculty Support

Qualifications Required:

- PhD in Chemical Engineering or a relevant field from a recognized university.

Teaching Experience:

- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of teaching experience in Chemical Engineering

- Candidate should be able to teach a range of courses in Chemical Engineering

Others:

- The candidate should have well and considerable publication record in well-respected international journals and conferences

- The Ability to work in a team with good communication and interpersonal skills

- Good research experience

- Good IT skills
